Many of our hives are moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains of Ashe and Allegheny Counties in North Carolina during the summer while the sourwood trees are blooming.  The nectar from the sourwood trees produces a delicious and highly sought after honey with a unique taste that is often described as buttery and nutty in flavor.
